At OCEANKING, we were pleased to participate once again in the Greener Shipping Summit, organized by Newsfront / Naftiliaki under the auspices of MARTECMA.
This year’s Summit brought together more than 700 professionals from across the maritime sector, sparking engaging discussions on practical pathways, technologies, and innovations shaping the future of greener shipping.
Understanding the growing need for reliable insights into new fuels and advanced systems, OCEANKING invited two of its trusted partners to contribute with their technical expertise during the panel discussions.

Technical Contributions from OCEANKING Partners
YADA & Everllence Cryo — Expertise in Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS)
YADA and Everllence Cryo offered valuable insights into the design, operation, and optimization of Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS) for modern vessels.
The Critical Role of FGSS in the Fuels Transition
The maritime sector is under increasing pressure to accelerate decarbonization. While the path is complex, achieving a sustainable future requires informed decisions and meaningful action. With important initiatives introduced by the IMO and EU, investment in greener fuels—particularly LNG—continues to expand.
Navigating the technical complexity of future fuels calls for strong collaboration. To provide the industry with confidence and long-term support, YADA Green Energy Solutions and Everllence Cryo have established a global strategic partnership focused on delivering complete FGSS solutions.
Together, the two companies offer:
- Full FGSS systems for both two-stroke and four-stroke engines
- Tailored solutions based on vessel and operator requirements
- Production managed through YADA’s advanced information management system, enabling 24/7 monitoring to ensure the highest quality standards
Through this partnership, YADA Green Energy Solutions and Everllence Cryo are actively paving the pathway toward zero-carbon shipping, supporting the transition to cleaner fuels with reliable, future-ready technology.

LEWA — High-Pressure Diaphragm Pumps for LPG & Ammonia FGSS
LEWA contributed detailed insights into the role of high-pressure triplex diaphragm pumps in Fuel Gas Supply Systems handling LPG and ammonia—two fuels gaining momentum as the industry pursues decarbonization.
Pumps for Alternative Marine Fuels
Ammonia and LPG are emerging as key options for large vessels due to their energy density, future availability, and existing infrastructure. Ammonia, in particular, offers:
- Zero carbon emissions
- High volumetric energy density
- Compatibility with today’s storage and transport frameworks
LEWA supports the adoption of these fuels by providing robust, efficient, and hermetically sealed process diaphragm pumps, engineered for safe handling of hazardous fluids. Their design for LPG and ammonia applications is nearly identical, making them highly suitable for flexible fuel strategies.

LEWA’s global track record includes:
- 700+ diaphragm pumps delivered for ammonia applications
- 50 triplex pumps with capacities up to 22 m³/h and pressures up to 320 bar
- Even higher flow and pressure ranges available upon request
Key design features include:
- Linear flow control via stroke frequency adjustment, enabling precise and swift regulation.
- Run-dry safe operation, ensuring reliability even under challenging conditions.
- Zero leakage, hermetically sealed construction, eliminating dynamic seals for maximum safety with hazardous fluids.
- High efficiency, reducing operational costs.
- Compliance with major marine certification standards (DNV, ABS, Lloyds, KR)
LEWA pumps are ideal for marine FGSS installations, offering high meantime between failure (MTBF), easy onboard maintenance, and proven reliability for flex-fuel applications. Their modular design supports low-speed operation and long service life, making them suitable for 2-stroke engines (dominant in large carriers).
With decades of expertise in handling hazardous and toxic fluids and a global service network, LEWA ensures safe and efficient ammonia systems, positioning itself as a key enabler of carbon-free shipping and greener marine propulsion.

Moving the Industry Forward
OCEANKING extends its sincere appreciation to MARTECMA and Newsfront / Naftiliaki for organizing such an insightful and well-attended Summit. Events like the Greener Shipping Summit play an essential role in promoting dialogue, collaboration, and technological progress toward a more sustainable maritime future.
