OCEANKING and Baumüller join forces to expand marine electrification in Greece

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Baumüller, a Nuremberg-based German manufacturer of intelligent drive and automation systems, marking OCEANKING’s expansion into the marine electrification sector in Greece.

Under the agreement, OCEANKING will support the sales and distribution of Baumüller’s drive systems for the shipbuilding industry in Greece. The groundwork for the collaboration began in late 2025 and was formalised with the signing of the contract in May 2026.

A partner in marine electrification

Baumüller has developed products and systems for the shipping industry over many years and positions itself not simply as a supplier, but as a system partner for intelligent marine propulsion and charging infrastructure. Its marine portfolio spans fully electric, hybrid, and parallel hybrid drive systems, along with the BAS-PCS power management system and the BAS-Link DC-Grid energy distribution platform — and charging technology for both ships and ports, available both as original equipment and retrofit solutions.

Through this collaboration, OCEANKING can now bring Baumüller’s electrification technology to Greek shipowners and shipbuilders, supported by our local presence and technical expertise. We will share more about these technologies and their capabilities in a dedicated follow-up.
